On June 24, 2025, an Iranian ballistic missile struck a residential building in Be’er Sheva, southern Israel, killing at least three people and injuring several others. Israeli media report the death toll may be as high as seven fatalities.

The strike occurred during a reported ceasefire window that Iran claimed had begun at 4 am GMT, as broadcast by Iranian state television and cited by US President Trump. However, the missile waves continued striking Israel, triggering multiple air-raid sirens in cities like Tel Aviv, including four alerts within an hour.

Emergency services from Magen David Adom confirmed at least three deaths and eight injuries in the Be’er Sheva strike, with several people still trapped under debris. Graphic footage from Be’er Sheva shows extensive damage to apartment blocks, burned vehicles, shattered windows, and rubble-strewn streets.

The ongoing missile exchanges have caused mass evacuations and heavy strain on rescue teams, with citizens being urged to take shelter as sirens keep blaring across major urban centers.

The attack follows Iran’s earlier June 19 strike that damaged Soroka Medical Center in Be’er Sheva and other civilian structures, injuring dozens.

Civilian areas, including hospitals and residential buildings, have been repeatedly hit over the past week, raising global concerns over violations of international humanitarian law.

Despite ceasefire announcements, the conflict remains volatile. Conflicting timelines from the US, Iran, and Israel mean the truce’s effectiveness remains uncertain, with further retaliations possible.
